VATOS CAVE

Vatos cave is accessible only from the steep path that leads to the St. George chapel in Vatos. The path to the cave itself is not visible. After many years it was possible to visit the cave during the summer of 2018 although cutting vegetation was still necessary.

Vatos cave is located on an altitude of 304 metres and looking out over sea. The cave is 15 metres wide and 15 metres high as well. The cave has little decorations. Close to the cave at the rock wall with many formations some stalactites are visible.

Vatos cave looks like Cave Grava Gardiki. It is recommended that Vatos cave will be opened up for the public.

The way to the cave starts at the path that leads to the chapel of St. George in Vatos.

Another path with dense vegetation leads to the cave.

In the rock wall around the cave many holes and formations are visible.
