TRIPES CAVES

The Tripes caves are located in Marioli in Valanio. There are karst formations all over the area.

Flora & Fauna:

During a visit to the caves in 2018 a few bats were spotted.

Calvatia gigantea, sometimes called the 'giant puffball', unique for Corfu.

The river below Marioli's tripes is one of the two tributaries of the Tiflou river, the largest river in Corfu. The other tributary is between Valanio and Chorepiskopi. Both meet in Rekini and form the blind river, which runs out near Sidari.
