ANO PAVLIANA

CAVE NEAR THE PROPHET ELIAS CHURCH

Near the Prophet Elias church in Ano Pavliana a cave is located. The cave is called Tripa tou Pelaou cave (Hole of the Sea), but it is not ending in sea. The cave has nothing to do with the Tripa tou Pelaou cave in Agios Mattheos. The cave is 3.9 metres wide, 6.4 metres deep and 1.9 metres high. The cave has no stalactites or stalagmites.
